Orto Parisi opened in 2014. The name is a garden and a family. Vincenzo Parisi worked land in Puglia. Gualtieri’s official line is that the parts of the body that carry more smell are the parts where more soul collects. Skin is treated as soil. The bottles look like they were dug up, not designed for a counter.
Terroni is earth that has been worked. Megamare is the sea — Gualtieri’s word, not a marine accord with a postcard attached. Bergamask is the citrus pushed until it is not cologne. Stercus, Seminalis, Boccanera keep the body in the title. Cuoium and Risvelium are later additions still in the same register.
The house also sells a tool bag and a luxury rag. They are not merch. They sit next to the extraits the way a cloth sits next to soil. We carry the full official line. If you want a garden story with flowers in it, this is the wrong garden.
Vincenzo Parisi is not a campaign grandfather. Gualtieri has repeated the buckets, the garden, the air of infinity, until the story became the house. It is grotesque if you wanted rosewater. It is exact if you have ever stood on worked earth in August.
Skin is treated as soil. The bottles look like they were dug up.

Terroni is the earth bottle. People from the Italian south already know the word. For everyone else it is a dense, unwashed mineral that does not try to be amber. Megamare is the counterweight — water, salt, a depth the official text refuses to make pretty.
Stercus and Seminalis put the body in the title so you cannot pretend this is a landscape brand. Boccanera is the mouth. Bergamask takes bergamot and removes the cologne manners. Viride is green the way a crushed stem is green, not the way a spa is green.
Cuoium and Risvelium arrived later without softening the register. Leather, wake, still the same dirt under the nails. The tool bag and the rag are sold beside them because Gualtieri thinks a cloth belongs next to soil. We think so too.
Macau heat changes Orto. Megamare gets louder. Terroni sits closer to skin. We never recommend these from a card. Card is paper. Paper is not soil. Sit down, put it on, walk to the door of the Promenade and come back. If you still want it in the air-conditioning, you want it.
If you wanted a garden with flowers in it, Bienaimé is downstairs in the same shop. Orto is the garden that was fertilised. Both are honest. They are not the same afternoon.
